During a routine inspection

We spoke with five people who used the service, the dentist/provider, a dentist, a dental nurse and the practice manager. One person had been using them for 12 years and said "They cared for me so well in my pregnancy that I have recommended them to my friends." Another person said "They gave me my smile back." All the people we spoke with felt they were treated well and staff were friendly and built a good relationship with them. They particularly liked the text reminders before an appointment. All the people we spoke with told us they were able to choose their treatments and they were given suitable advice and information on options for treatment.

The dentist we spoke with spoke highly of the people they treated and we saw they had a good rapport with the people we observed them treating. We saw in staff records how the staff team were suitably qualified, skilled and experienced.

People told us how clean the service was and we saw in records and processes observed that good standards of hygiene were followed within the practice. We noted in the records and saw the decontamination equipment used was modern and well maintained.

We saw that patients' notes were stored on the computer system and there were no paper notes used. The provider explained the security measures in place to maintain data security.
