During a routine inspection

During the inspection we spoke with six people who used the service. We asked them what they thought about the care and treatment they received at the practice. All six people were happy with the support and treatment they received. They thought that the staff were very welcoming and friendly and treated them with dignity and respect. One person said, "The staff are wonderful here, they are always polite and cheerful." Another person said, "I cannot fault them." People liked the fact that they saw the same staff each time they came for treatment. One person said, "I have built up trust with them all. It is a mutual trust and respect."

People who used the service also felt that the dentists and staff were very thorough and competent and kept them informed at every stage of their treatment. A person told us, "They are very thorough with their examinations and they tell you what's going on and they explain what they are doing."

The environment was clean and maintained to appropriate standards of cleanliness and hygiene for the purpose of carrying on the regulated activities.

We spoke with five staff members during the inspection. Staff felt that they were actively supported in their job role and with their training requirements.

The quality of the service people received was monitored and the practice was well run and managed in the best interests of the people who used the service.
