All Inspections

7 June 2013

During a routine inspection

We spoke with five patients during the inspection. Patients consistently spoke positively about their care and treatment. A sample of their comments included "It has been absolutely fine", "Brilliant", "Always satisfied", "Very good" and "Lovely".

We found that patients were informed about treatment options and made aware of costs. Patients told us they were treated with dignity and respect. One patient said "They make you feel at ease".

Patients experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs. All the patients we spoke with told us they got the treatment they needed. One patient commented "It was the first dentist to really explain a long term problem I've had".

We found that there were appropriate systems in place to make sure that patients were kept safe. There were up to date policies and procedures to safeguard vulnerable adults and protect children.

People were treated in a clean and hygienic environment. All the patients we spoke with said they had no concerns about cleanliness or hygiene. One patient said it was "Always clean". We found that there were robust systems to make sure the surgery room and equipment was kept clean and free from cross infection.
