During a routine inspection

We spoke with three people, all of whom were positive about their experience at the practice. They all said that they were given adequate information about the service and the fees so that they could make decisions about their treatment. They said the practice was clean. One person said they were '100% satisfied' and that the practice was 'professional' and everything was explained. Another said they were 'free to make choices'. These opinions were also reflected in the positive feedback survey from December 2012.

There were processes to assess each person's suitability prior to any treatment. A detailed medical and dental history was taken and reviewed at each appointment. Staff had received professional development which included life support training. Emergency equipment was available. There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection and staff had been trained in infection control.

There were systems in place to monitor the quality of service provided. People who use the service were encouraged to provide feedback and any concerns would be listened to. Staff met with each other regularly to discuss the overall running of the service and had clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
