During a routine inspection
During our inspection we spoke with 11 people in order to obtain their views about the dental service they received. With their permission we observed six people receive examinations or treatment, at least one from each of the three dentists.
We also spoke with three dentists, one of whom was the clinic's manager and four dental nurses about their work.
We saw people received comprehensive examinations and where the need for treatment was identified this was discussed with them. The provider had policies and procedures in place about decision making.
All the people we spoke with expressed positive views about the clinic's staff and the treatment they received.
There were arrangements in place that ensured people were protected from the risk of abuse.
People told us they thought the premises were clean and hygienic. We saw the provider had put measures in place that ensured people were effectively protected from the risk of infections.
Staff had undertaken training appropriate to the work they performed and that ensured their continued registration with the General Dental Council.
The provider had arrangements in place to monitor the quality of their service and to check their procedures were followed.
