We found that the provider now operated effective recruitment procedures in order to ensure the integrity of people employed for the purpose of carrying on regulated activities.

People told us that treatment options were clearly explained to them before any treatment commenced. The dentist we spoke with told us how treatment options were explained to the patient before they obtained their consent. People were given printed information to supplement the verbal explanations if necessary.

There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. We reviewed the infection prevention and decontamination policies and found them to be up to date and comprehensive with responsibilities clearly defined.

We found that the provider needed to make improvements to the way they recruited staff that worked at the practice.

The provider had an effective quality assurance system to monitor the quality of service provided.
