During a routine inspection

People said they liked living at Bromfield House Rest Home. They said they had been involved in discussions about the help they needed and their preferred day to day routines. People said they had enough to do and could join in with activities if they wanted to. They said they were happy with the support they received, that the staff were kind, caring and on hand to help when needed. People said they liked the food and there was a choice of menu. They said they knew who to speak to should they have any concerns.

During a routine inspection

Nearly all the people who used this service were able to tell us about their experiences. They said that they were very happy in the home, that they enjoyed their meals and that they had plenty to do in the home. Some people said they really enjoyed the activities whilst others preferred to spend more time in their rooms. They said the staff were kind and helpful. One person said, 'We can enjoy a good laugh and joke with them (the staff)'; and other said, 'It's just like home from home, marvellous ' no complaints at all '.

Relatives said they were very pleased with the care that the home gave. They described the overall service as 'Wonderful' and 'Fantastic'. One relative said, 'I feel very lucky that we got a place here for mum, it's so homely and she is so happy here. We visit a lot and it's always the same high standard'.
