During a routine inspection

We spoke with two people who used the service and they told us that they were pleased with the results of their cosmetic surgery and the level of care that they had received from the staff. One person told us that they had been given a 'realistic' explanation about their chosen surgical procedure and that they felt 'confident and well informed' to go ahead. Another person told us that they had 'asked every question they had wanted' and that the staff had taken their individual requirements into account when deciding the cosmetic surgery that best suited their needs. They also told us that the after surgery care was 'brilliant' and that they had been 'well looked after'.

We found that people had been given adequate information to make decisions about their chosen cosmetic surgery and that people had received a detailed assessment before they had surgery. We also found that medical staff were well qualified and experienced and updated their knowledge of cosmetic surgery on a regular basis. We also found that people understood how to make a complaint and that the provider had adequate procedures in place to deal with complaints effectively. We reviewed the improvements that the provider had made to the management of medicines and found that minor concerns were identified regarding the storage of drugs.

During a routine inspection

We found that the provider had processes in place to monitor quality monitoring, obtain consent and train staff. We saw feedback from people who used the service that said they were very happy with the attitude and professionalism of the staff.
