Overall inspection

Updated 16 September 2021

This service is not rated.

We carried out an unannounced focused inspection at Bin Seena Health Limited on 10 and 13 August 2021 in response to concerns that were brought to our attention.

Bin Seena is a community pharmacy on Edgware Road in London which offered private consultations with a doctor that was available to adults only.

On the first day of our inspection 10 August 2021 this service was registered with CQC under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 in respect of the provision of advice or treatment by, or under the supervision of, a medical practitioner including the prescribing of medicines. Our inspection was focused solely on the doctor’s consultation service.

On the second day of our inspection 13 August 2021, the service stopped its provision of private consultations with a doctor. During the inspection we were unable to complete the scope of the inspection because the provider’s doctor was absent, and the provider had no access to the clinical records. The provider was no longer providing regulated activities, as listed in Schedule 1 to the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. The provider made an application to cancel its registration with the CQC on 13 August 2021. That was accepted and its registration with the CQC is now cancelled.

The pharmacy’s dispensing and related services are exempt from CQC regulation and are regulated separately by the General Pharmaceutical Council.
