During a routine inspection

People who used the service and their relatives told us that the service was delivered in an efficient and professional way. The staff were respectful, considerate, caring and kind. A relative told us: 'The carers provide such an excellent service ' they don't just care for my relative but care about how I am as well.' People who used the service and their relatives told us they were involved and consulted in all arrangements about their care.

Mansion Care had all the necessary policy and procedures, quality assurance and monitoring systems in place for the safeguarding and protection of people who used the service. Staff carried out their caring responsibilities in a professional and caring way and people and their families were very satisfied with the service offered.

One relative said: 'It is a very respectful service as you feel that the manager and the staff are really interested in making sure everything is OK for your relative.

During a routine inspection

Following our visit to the agency on 30 September 2011 we spoke with a number of people who were receiving care from the agency who had agreed to speak with us. They told us that the staff were very polite and that the staff respected their privacy and dignity when assisting them with personal care and dressing. They told us that their care needs were fully discussed with them and they were asked how they liked their care to be given before the service was started. One person told us 'They are very good and kind'. Another person said 'They respect my privacy and dignity very well and they engage in conversation with me'.

People we spoke with following our visit to the agency told us that that the staff were very polite. One person told us 'I am quite satisfied. On the whole the care is very good'. Another person said 'They all do their job very well indeed and they respond quickly when we call them'.
