People and their representatives told us they were always consulted about their care and support needs. They said they had consented to how their care needs were to be met.

Comments from people who used the service included, 'The staff are very attentive. The carers are very good, 'Everything is good here. The staff are lovely.'

A visitor said, 'I am very satisfied. I am happy with the care my relative is receiving. "They said they were pleased about how one care worker in particular was able to stimulate their relative effectively who had dementia.

All of the visitors said they felt very welcome to visit the home at any time. One person said, 'I couldn't fault the care. I live nearby and I can come and see my relative when I want to. This place is excellent and everyone is so friendly.'

People who used the service and their representatives said there were enough staff to meet their needs appropriately.

The provider operated an effective quality assurance system. We found this was based on seeking the views of people who used the service, their representatives and professionals involved with the home. We saw feedback was used where possible to make improvements to the service.

We also found the provider had an effective system in place to ensure all records were kept secure and remained confidential.

The manager told us they always ensured they carefully assessed the care and support needs of people wishing to use the service. All people, their relatives, representatives and health care professionals, where necessary were involved in this process.

We saw detailed care plans. These described the actions staff needed to take to meet people's needs.

This meant staff had the information they needed to support each person and keep them safe.

Suitable arrangements were in place for protecting people from harm. People told us they could share any worries with the staff and felt their views were listened to.

People and two relatives told us they were happy with the care and support they received.

One person said "The staff always treat me with respect and they do things for me in the way that I prefer.'
