During a routine inspection

We spoke with six people using services and they all said they were happy and settled living at Beeches Care Home. They also said staff were kind and caring and always polite and respectful towards them.

Two people said they had come to look around the home before they decided to move in. They confirmed they had received all the information they needed to help them make the decision to move into the home.

Four people did not know they had a plan of care in place; however they felt staff knew what they liked and how they liked things to be done. They said their needs were met and staff always asked them for permission before they helped them.

One person said they liked living at the home, staff were good to them and they received plenty of help as they needed it.

Three people said there were not many activities to join in; one person did not mind this as they were happy with that on offer; however two people said that they would like more to do.

Three people said they knew who to speak with if they had any concerns, however they did not have any problems at that time. They also told us they felt safe living at the home and they trusted staff.

All but one person spoken with felt there were enough staff available to meet their needs.

Everyone spoken with said staff were good at their job and two people said staff were well trained.

One person said the staff were approachable and if you spoke to them about anything they acted upon it.

One person said they had attended a residents meeting where all the changes in ownership had been discussed.
