During an inspection in response to concerns

On the day of our visit we spoke to six people living in the home. Everyone we spoke to said that they were happy with the care and said that they had been involved in deciding what is in their care plans. All of the people we talked to said that they feel safe in the home and that they would talk to the manager if they were concerned about anything. People told us that they could lock things away securely if they wanted to. Five of the six people we talked to said that the staff were good. One person had a criticism saying some staff are a bit impatient.

None of the people we spoke or their relatives and friends had any complaints to tell us about. They said that they felt that their comments and complaints would be listened to and acted on by the manager.

We also talked to several of people's relatives and friends, who were visiting at the time. They said that they had confidence in the manager, that they felt sure that people were looked after properly because their relatives tell them that they are happy in the home. One person's relatives said that the person's health has improved since they moved in to the home.
