All Inspections

During a routine inspection

People we spoke with were positive about the care and support they received at The Hamlets. One person told us 'You'd find it hard to fault this place' and another said 'It's good here ' you couldn't have a better bunch of people'. Staff we spoke with were knowledgeable about the people they supported.

We found people were treated respectfully and were given support to have their say in how they wanted to be cared for and supported. Records kept by the organisation contained enough information for people to be cared for safely and were stored, and eventually disposed of appropriately.

Appropriate arrangements were in place to manage medicines.

During an inspection looking at part of the service

We did not undertake a site visit for this inspection so service users were not interviewed as part of this compliance review. The review of improvements was undertaken by reviewing further evidence sent to us by the provider to demonstrate improvements had been made and compliance achieved

During a routine inspection

People that use the services (referred to in this report as service user's) told us that staff were 'lovely', they felt 'safe' and that they were confident that their needs were being met by competent staff. They reported that they were well cared for, they felt involved in making decisions about this and they considered that their preferences and choices were discussed as often as they needed to be. The conversations we had with service users were carried out in private rooms generally and they confirmed that staff treated them with respect at all times. They told us that if at mealtimes they did not want what was on the menu, an alternative would be sought.
