During an inspection looking at part of the service

We spoke with two of the three people that lived at Pinetrees. One person told us that 'the bedrooms are lovely, the staff are brilliant'. Another person showed us around their self-contained flat which had been decorated with their chosen possessions.

We found that Pinetrees was clean and well maintained and we saw staff and people engaging in a friendly and relaxed manner.

During our last inspection we had concerns that some of the records relating to injuries and wounds that people had acquired had not been updated with details of the care required. During this inspection we found that records had been well kept and were updated as people's needs had changed. We found that people's care had been well planned which ensured their safety and welfare.

We found Pinetrees to be safe, responsive, caring and well led.

We spoke with two staff members who both had good knowledge and understanding of the needs of people that used the service. They both told us that they felt well supported in their roles. When asked their thoughts about the care and support that people received one person told us "people get great care that meets their individual needs". Another staff member told us "we provide personalised support".

We found that people's needs were assessed and care and support plans put in place to ensure that their needs were met. We found that there were risks assessments in place to ensure people's safety. We found that the provider undertook appropriate checks on equipment and carried put relevant pre-employment checks prior to people starting work. We found that the complaints procedure had been updated and was on display within the service.

However, we found concerns with the records that were kept relating to injuries and wounds that people had acquired.
