During a routine inspection

People that we spoke with were positive and satisfied with the care and support they received from the agency. One person told us that: 'The staff are friendly and help me with what I need.' People told us that they had a keyworker to help them organise their week and assist with any events or appointments that were coming up. People felt that their views and any concerns they had would be listened to and properly dealt with by the staff.

Care and support was reviewed to ensure that peoples' needs were up to date and being met. There was evidence of people's involvement in the planning of their care and support.

Staff were trained in safeguarding people from harm and they had access to policies and information about how to report any incidents or concerns to the local authority safeguarding team.

Staff received supervision and ongoing training sessions to ensure that they could safely deliver care and support to people.

The agency had an effective system to assess and monitor the quality of the services that were provided to people

During a routine inspection

During our inspection on 19 September 2012 we observed the care and the verbal communication between care staff and people and where we were able we spoke with some of the people living in each of the two bungalows. We noted that staff spoke with people in a positive and caring way which meant people were treated with respect. People told us they were very happy with the staff and with the bungalows they lived in. We saw that people were encouraged to become more independent and found that people had been assisted to 'move on' and were able to and to leave the bungalows to live on their own in the town.
