Therefore we did not speak to people using the service at this visit. People that we spoke with at our visit in June 2011 confirmed that they were happy with the support and services provided to them.
People were asked about the quality and variety of the meals provided and told us that they felt they were good. Comments included, 'the food is very good, there's plenty of choice' and 'if you don't fancy what's on the menu they will make you something else, you can't complain really they're very good'.
People that were spoken with confirmed that their visitors were made welcome by the staff. We also observed people visiting throughout the day. Staff interaction with visitors was positive and friendly.
People that we spoke with confirmed that they felt safe at the home. One person said, 'I used to get quite worried when I was at home on my own, I feel much safer now'.
People that we spoke with seemed confident that any concerns they had would be addressed by the registered manager
