Infection control practices at the hospital were good and the hospital was clean and hygienic.
Staff recruitment procedures were robust and people were cared for by staff who were fit, appropriately qualified and were physically and mentally able to do their job.
The hospital had systems in place to deal with comments and complaints.
We reviewed the care records for five people and these demonstrated that people had been asked to give their consent to their care pathway and treatment.
People said they were cared for in privacy and the staff respected them and endeavoured to ensure their dignity was always maintained.
Our observations confirmed that, staff were careful and considerate in maintaining people's privacy and dignity.
