During an inspection in response to concerns

People who use the service spoken with expressed a level of satisfaction with the home and the staff. Comments included, 'I think everything is okay', 'Nice food and kind staff' 'The staff are kind, but sometimes too busy and they can't get back to me' 'I don't think that I could be happy anywhere else' 'They forget me as a person sometimes' 'Could be better but could be worse'.

One person who uses the service declared, 'It has been nice to be asked my thoughts on the care I get'

'I think that they do their best, but I don't always feel my life is my own anymore'.

A relative we spoke to said that her recent experience with the service was adequate, but felt that her relative 'could be better understood, she is losing weight, but I don't think they are really encouraging her to eat.

People who use the service spoken with expressed a level of satisfaction with the home and the staff. Comments included, 'People are kind, but very busy', 'I can't really answer that as I haven't got anything to judge it by' 'I am okay thank you' The food provision in the home received varied comments 'not too bad' 'we do get a choice' 'not really to my liking but it's alright', 'Better food at the weekend'. One person who uses the service declared, 'I am told what I need and when to do it'. A relative we spoke to said that her recent experience with the service was very good. The staff had supported herself as well as her mother in the short time her mother lived in the home, 'They were kind, caring and extremely thoughtful'.
