How this check was done

Our judgement

On the basis of the evidence provided and the views of people using the service we found the service to be compliant with this outcome.

User experience

People who use the service told us there were enough staff working in the home. They told us there is always someone about to help them, they said that there were different staff to do different things such as activities and care.

Other evidence

During the visit we observed staff interacting with people who use the service. We saw staff responded quickly to requests for assistance and for additional drinks and snacks. Staff did not rush their interactions with people and had time to make conversation as well as meeting their immediate requirements.

Staff spoken with told us they felt there were sufficient staff on duty at any one time, which enabled them to meet people's needs effectively.

The provider reported that staffing levels are determined by the needs of people sing the service and there is flexibility to be able to change staffing levels where needed.
