During a routine inspection

People we spoke with were pleased with the service they received. One person said 'They are more like family. I like that I get the same girls so they know me and I know them.'

Everyone we spoke with thought that staff were polite and respectful and said that staff provided care and support in a respectful way. One person said "They know I like my privacy so they make a real effort for me.'

Everyone we spoke with was pleased with the staff they had. The people we spoke with said staff "knew what to do" and how to provide the care and

support they needed.

People told us they felt safe and reassured in the presence of staff and said staff respected their property and belongings. Staff were aware of the different types of abuse and knew how to recognise signs and report it correctly.

Staff told us they had enough information given to them to know how to care for peoples needs. Staff also said the induction and training programmes were good. Staff were also complimentary about the support they received from the manager and organisation.

Allied were in the process of merging with another organisation called SAGA. People were aware of this but said it had not affected them. Staff said they had felt a little unsettled but had received support from the manager.

We saw various systems of internal audits and checks that were performed to ensure the service ran efficiently and to check that people were happy with the care they received.
