During a routine inspection

We found that the consent of people using the service was obtained and that people received the care and support that they needed. The service provided safe and appropriate care because individual needs were established before people started using the service.

The service had an effective recruitment and selection procedure in place and carried out relevant checks when recruiting staff.

People's personal records were accurate, fit for purpose and held securely. Staff records were kept in an appropriate form.

We found the provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive.

We spoke with four relatives who told us 'Everything goes like clockwork' and 'The members of staff have become friends' another relative said 'I am exceptionally happy with the service they provide'.

During a routine inspection

We visited two of the people who received care in their own home. One person told us that the staff are 'really nice'. They told us they knew they had a care plan and had signed it and that the staff knew them really well. They could decide what they would like to do and the staff took them out shopping and to the cinema which they loved and they felt safe in their company.

Another person said that the staff were 'really good' they would help them to make curry for their tea which they really liked. They said that staff took them to see concerts at the local arena which they really enjoyed.
