During a routine inspection

People we spoke with told us they were pleased with the care and support they, or their relative, received. One person told us they were "very happy" with the one to one care their relative received.

Support plans reflected the needs of the people using the service and were reviewed regularly. People were involved in planning their support.

Staff told us they received training to do their job and were supported by managers.

The service had systems in place to monitor quality of the service provided. These included telephone monitoring and unannounced visits which were carried out by the manager. The provider may wish to note the systems in place were not formalised.

During a routine inspection

The people we spoke to told us that they were treated well by staff. They said they were able to make choices about the care and support they were to receive from the agency.

They told us they are involved in the decisions made about their care. They told us that they were involved in the review of their care plans and that changes are made only if they are in agreement. Some relatives of people who use the service who spoke on their behalf told us that they are not aware of a written care plan.

People and their relatives who spoke on their behalf told us that they had no concerns or worries about the care they received. They said that they are kept fully informed and can approach the agency staff if they were worried or concerned.
