During an inspection in response to concerns
One person we spoke with confirmed that care workers treat them with dignity and respect and had no concerns about the way that they were treated. Two people were able to tell us that they enjoyed their meals and that if they didn't like what was on the menu they could have something different.
Two people liked the fact that they could stay in their rooms if they wished. Discussion with one person confirmed that they have access to a call bell and that care workers respond.
Some relatives and visitors also told us about their views on the experiences of people who were less able to tell us themselves. Comments from relatives and visitors included: 'Basic and in need of updating', 'Some areas are very shabby'. However visitors told us that the care workers were pleasant and caring. We received some mixed views about the quality of the care, with some people having concerns, while others felt that their relative was well cared for.
