During a routine inspection

We spoke with seven people who used the service, two relatives and four members of staff as part of this inspection. People who used the service told us that were very happy with the care they received and that they felt safe and told us they enjoyed the range of activities provided and all seven people considered the standard of meals provided was good.

One person told us "The food is always hot and plentiful." Another person told us " I have come in for a holiday but would be very happy never to go back home."

Another person commented that "There is always a homely and welcoming atmosphere here."

We saw several examples where staff supported and cared for people in a dignified and respectful way. We found that the service was meeting the personal, emotional and healthcare needs of people using the service. We found that the environment was maintained safely and odour free and that all health and safety checks were up to date.
