All Inspections

During a routine inspection

We spoke with the owners of the agency during our inspection. We also spoke on the telephone with a person who used the service, a relative of a person who used the service, two care staff and a health professional.

Comments from the people we contacted by telephone included, 'The care we have is very, very good, excellent in fact.' Another person said, 'They are absolutely brilliant, they always go the extra mile.'

We found that if a person had the capacity to make decisions, they were involved in the planning and delivery of their care. If not, a family member was involved in making decisions on their relative's behalf.

People were cared for, or supported by, suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff. A relative of a person who used the service told us, 'They provide a very good standard of service indeed, [Relative] is very pleased with them.'

The provider had appropriate arrangements in place to manage medicines.

People we spoke with told us that they felt listened to and were happy with the quality of service provided. One person told us, 'We have nothing to complain about at all.' Another person said, 'I cannot complain, if I needed to I know they would sort it straight away.'

During a routine inspection

We spoke to people using the service. They told us that they were very pleased with the service. One person told us: "I've been with them for some years and I'm very satisfied." People were pleased with their care workers. They were usually supported by the same person and knew them well. One person told us that, "I was with another agency prior to this one and I would not change again. I just have to call them and they are always there for me."

The service inducted and trained its staff to ensure that people were supported by competent care workers.

The service used appropriate methods to obtain the views of people using the service and responded to requests for change in a timely and appropriate manner.
