Other evidence

There is a suitable staff recruitment policy; new staff have to undertake a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check together with two written references from previous employers. The process also includes a check with the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) Adult First Check to confirm that the applicant has not been barred from working with vulnerable people. All staff are provided with a job description, a contract of employment and undertake an induction training programme.

A staff member spoken with commented that she had been provided with induction training that had helped her feel confident in her role within the home.
