During a routine inspection

We spoke with eight people who received a service from Northamptonshire Care at Home. They were happy with their care and told us that staff were polite and respectful. One person told us that the staff are 'lovely. Always helpful.' Three people told us that staff always arrived on time to provide their care. Five people told us that staff usually arrive on time.

We found that the provider did not have an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive.

During an inspection in response to concerns

We visited one person within their own home who praised the staff for the care and support they received. The person said the staff were very helpful in supporting them with their personal care, housework and other domestic tasks, which had helped with being able to maintain their independence as much as possible.

We observed staff in attendance being respectful, friendly and helpful.

Some people are supported in maintaining independence with taking their own medication and feel safe in continuing to take on this responsibilty, we were told that should this area of their needs become difficult to continue, they would ask for help from the staff.
