During a routine inspection

People were very satisfied with the service provided, one person told us, 'I am very happy here, the staff are very kind' and another person commented, 'It is a very homely and friendly home'. People told us their rights to privacy, dignity and independence were upheld and respected.

People's care was planned and delivered in accordance with their needs. People had individual care plans which were supported by a series of risk assessments and daily care records. This meant people's care could be readily monitored and evaluated.

People were provided with a comfortable and safe environment. All people were happy with their bedrooms which they could personalise with their own belongings.

Staff were provided with appropriate training opportunities and received regular supervision. All staff spoken with told us they were well supported in their role and enjoyed their work.

We found there were appropriate systems in place to monitor the quality and effectiveness of the service. People told us they could express their views about their experiences in the home and they were confident the manager and staff would listen and act appropriately.

People were satisfied with the service provided, one person told us, 'You'd never find anything better, I feel very fortunate to be here' and another person said the home was 'excellent'. People told us their rights to privacy, dignity and independence were upheld and respected.

People's care was planned and delivered in accordance with their needs. People had individual care plans which were supported by a series of risk assessments and daily care records. This meant people's care could be readily monitored and evaluated.

Staff had an understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adult procedures and knew who to contact in the event of a concern.

There were sufficient staff on duty to respond to people's needs in an efficient manner. All people made complimentary comments about the approach taken by the staff.

We found there were appropriate systems in place to monitor the quality and operation of the service, this included regular audits and annual customer satisfaction questionnaires. People told us they felt comfortable and safe and could express their views about their experiences in the home.

During a routine inspection

People told us they were happy living in the home and they were involved in planning and reviewing their care. They said they were able to express their views and their opinions were taken seriously and acted upon. One person said, 'It is a marvellous place to live, I am very happy here'.

People confirmed they were involved in the care planning process, which enabled them to express their views and opinions about the level and type of care they were provided. People spoken with felt they were well cared for and the staff respected their rights to privacy and dignity.

People made complimentary comments about the food and said the staff and the cook were aware of their likes and dislikes, so they were could plan the meals around everyone's preferences.

People liked their bedrooms and were able to furnish them with them with their own belongings and possessions.

People made positive comments about the staff team and felt they could talk to the any of the staff or the manager if they had a problem or query.
