During a routine inspection

People who live at Whitby Rise were able to express their views verbally with some people who were able to do so more clearly than others. We saw people make choices about food and staff told us about the different activities and trips the people who use services had been involved in and enjoyed. People had the opportunity to take part in a variety of leisure pursuits and interests. The staff team valued the differing needs of the people who live there and were aware of each person's preferences. They treated the people who used the service as individuals and supported them to follow their chosen lifestyle as much as possible.
