During a routine inspection

We spoke with eight of the nine people who used the service. They told us that they were happy with the care and support they were provided with and the staff who worked in the service. One person said, 'They are all lovely (staff), they work so hard, very caring." Another person said, 'Everything is alright, I have no problems here."

We spoke with two visitors who told us that they were satisfied with the service that their relative was provided with.

We looked at the care records of three people who used the service and found that people experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights. We found that people's dietary needs were met. This was confirmed in what people told us and our observations.

We spoke with four staff members. We spoke with two of these staff members about the staffing levels in the service. They felt that there were sufficient staff numbers to meet the needs of the people who used the service. We looked at the staff rota which confirmed what we had been told. Staff told us that they were provided with the training that they needed to meet the needs of the people who used the service.

We found that equipment used in the service, such as electrical appliances, were checked to ensure that they were fit for purpose and safe for use.

The provider had systems in place to monitor the service that people were provided with.

During a routine inspection

Some of the people living at Camberley Lodge were not able to speak with us. Some people talked with us generally about life in the home and told us the things that were good such as the food and how staff cared for them.

We saw that staff asked people's opinions and treated them with courtesy and respect. We also saw that people were relaxed and comfortable with staff and other people living in the home.

Relatives spoken with told us they were happy with the standard of care and were also complimentary about the staff team.
