All Inspections

During a routine inspection

We were unable to speak with people who used the service due to no one being at the service for appointments during our inspection. We viewed feedback and comment cards from customers on the wall in the reception area. The feedback about the service was positive.

People were provided with information pre-treatment which fully explained the procedure so that they could make an informed choice. People had received both verbal and written advice about what they should do after they had received eye surgery. Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare

Staff recruitment procedures that were in place had been followed to ensure that the right people were employed. This meant that there were effective recruitment and selection processes in place.

People who use the service were protected from the risk of abuse because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.

The service had relevant policies and procedures in place which outline how complaints would be dealt with. This meant that there was an effective complaints system available. Comments and complaints people made were responded to appropriately.
