We were only able to speak with one person during our inspection, who had not used the service before that day. This person told us their needs and treatment options were discussed with them and all associated risks were highlighted.Staff were aware of their requirement to obtain a person's consent and that it was documented where required, and people's needs were assessed and care was delivered in line with their needs.
Staff knowledge of safeguarding varied. Some staff had not completed training to ensure people were protected from the risk of abuse and the provider did not have a safeguarding policy.
Staff had received appraisals but these were not documented, and the provider did not have a comprehensive record of staff training available.
The provider had undertaken quality assurance checks and audits relating to the quality of service provision.
