During an inspection in response to concerns
"Nice staff! They take care of me'
'I am happy here. They have helped me get better.'
' I get enough food but I would also like sliced meat for my sandwiches.'
We closely observed people and the interaction between them and staff. We noted that people who use the service were treated with respect and dignity. Staff were seen encouraging and engaging people in activities. We noted that people who use the service appeared relaxed and able to move freely in the home or enter the office to talk to staff. Staff appeared unhurried and were able to respond to them promptly.
People who used the service were seen enjoying their meals. They stated that on the whole they were satisfied with the meals provided. Some suggestions were made by them for improving the provision of food in the home. These were discussed with the manager with the agreement of people who used the service.
