During a routine inspection

We found that care staff supported people to meet their individual needs in a way that respected people's privacy and dignity and encouraged their independence.

Care staff did not rush and had time to sit down and talk to people who used the service. "She (care staff) takes her time", one person told us. Another person told us, "It is a good relationship", when describing the support that they received from care staff.

People told us that care staff chatted, laughed and joked with them, which they really enjoyed.

The care staff team knew what to do if they had any concerns about the people in their care. They had the necessary skills and experience to support people.

The agency asked the views of people who use the service on a regular basis. The results of the survey in 2012 were that everyone was satisfied with the level of care that they received and no one had any suggestions of how the service could be improved. Comments about the support that people received from care staff included, "She is my weekly tonic", " We have a good laugh together which I enjoy" and "I love having my bath with X (care staff)".
