During a routine inspection
Care plans were in place to document people's individual needs. They were detailed, reviewed and updated regularly. Risk assessments had been written to identify and reduce the likelihood of injury or harm, with guidelines in place for staff.
People had access to healthcare professionals and specialist support to ensure they kept healthy and well.
Daily activities were provided to those who wished to take part. These included trips out into the community as well as in house activities and entertainment.
The home was comfortable, clean and warm. Each person had their own bedroom which they had personalised to their own taste with personal memorabilia and some with small items of their own furniture.
People we spoke with told us the staff were kind and helped them in their day to day lives. One person told us "I am perfectly happy...I am not an easy patient but they cope very well." Another said "the staff are very caring and I am happy with the care I get."
