All Inspections

During a routine inspection

We spoke with nine people using the service at Nsoromma House. The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive. All the people we spoke with were complimentary about the service.

People told us the support provided reassurance, a person said "I like having a staff member present over the 24 hour period, staff remember to give me my medicine at the right times, this gives me confidence and stability."

People told us they benefit from having a team of regular staff they were familiar with, a person said "it makes us feel safe".

We observed the environment was homely and relaxed, cultural needs and preferences were recognised, with a range of pictures on display reflecting African and Caribbean scenes.

Staff working at the home were given training, development and the support they needed for their role.

People felt able to express their views, regular monthly meetings took place which provided opportunities for people to have their say, make choices and take decisions about the way that the service was tailored.
