During an inspection looking at part of the service
We spoke to someone who had called at the home to take their relative out for a walk. They told us that they were satisfied with the care provided at the home.
Staff told us that they worked well as a team and that they felt that people received the care they needed.
The cook on duty that day told us that they had already made some of the improvements required by the Environmental Health Officer (Food Safety). They also told us that they enjoyed working at the home as both carer and cook and that they had received good support from the manager and from colleagues.

During a routine inspection
We did not question people living at the home directly but chatted to them on the day of our visit and observed care practices.
These evidenced that people have their basic care needs met but that improvements are needed to ensure that care plans are fully developed and followed so that people receive the physical, emotional and social support to meet their individual needs.
