During a routine inspection

During our visit we spoke with five staff and looked at six records. We spoke with seven people who used the service. One by telephone following our visit, six in person at their homes. The people we visited told us they were glad to be able to speak well of the service.

People told us that staff treated them with respect and dignity. They told us they were involved in making decisions about their care and treatment.

People all told us that they were well cared for and that staff were "caring and gentle" and "valuable to us ". People said they had regular staff who supported them which meant that staff knew them well, understood what their needs were and helped with trust.

We saw that care plans and risk assessments were up to date and detailed people's care needs.

People we spoke with told us that staff treated them well and that they felt safe. People we spoke with told us that they thought the staff were well trained and knew what they were doing.

Staff told us they had lots of valuable and relevant training and felt confident in their job. One staff member told us I really like working for them, its very rewarding.

We were told that there had not been any complaints during the last twelve months. The senior staff we spoke with told us how they would deal with a complaint if they received one. People we spoke with all told us that they knew who to contact to raise a concern or make a complaint if they needed to.
