All Inspections

15 January 2013

During a routine inspection

On the day of the inspection there were three people booked into the clinic for appointments. We asked all three people if they would like to speak with us about the service. Only one person was able to speak with us as the other two people only had a limited amount of time.

The person that we spoke with told us that they were very happy with all aspects of the service. They told us that they found the staff at the service, "friendly and approachable." The person said, "the reception staff are very efficient and the doctor is polite, professional and has very good manners."

We observed that people's privacy and dignity was maintained during their appointment at the clinic. When people were seen by the doctor, the door to the consulting room was closed and people in the waiting area were not able to overhear any discussion or consultation taking place.

One person said the doctor explained the treatment and the possible side effects at their first appointment and they visited regularly to be monitored. They told us, "the doctor always asks questions about how I am."

We spoke with the receptionist. She told us, "I am able to speak to the doctor at any time, we have a good working relationship."

The service had an effective complaints system available. People told us that they did not have any concerns, complaints or worries about the service and that when they attended for an appointment, the staff at the clinic were pleasant and helpful.

During an inspection looking at part of the service

We did not carry out a site visit to the clinic, however when we last visited the service in April 2012 we spoke to people and no one raised any concerns about the service. People said they received information about their treatment and they felt their general health was properly monitored by the doctor.

We spoke with four people who attended the clinic, none of them raised any concerns about the service. They said they received information about their treatment and they felt their general health was properly monitored by the doctor.

30 November 2011

During a routine inspection

We spoke with four people who told us they were happy with the service. People told us that when they came for their first appointment, they were given some information about the medication they were given. However we found that people were still unclear about the risks associated with the medicines they were supplied with. People told us that they did not have any concerns, complaints or worries about the service and that when they attended for an appointment, the staff at the clinic were pleasant and helpful.
