During a routine inspection

During our inspection we spoke with ten people who used the service and/or their relatives. The people we spoke with were all positive about the care and support they received. People told us they had been consulted about the care package they received and their support plans had been discussed with them.

People also told us they had been given written information about the services the provider offered. One person said, 'The initial visit by the manager was very informative and I received lots of information about the service including the complaints procedure and emergency contact details." Another person said "Staff from Anewline have now provided my care and support for over two years and I can honestly say I could not have chosen a better agency. Without their support I would without doubt have to consider moving into a care home which is something I really do not want to do unless absolutely necessary."

We spoke with seven members of staff employed by the agency. The staff told us they enjoyed working for Anewline Home Care and always respected people's rights to privacy and dignity when providing care and support. They also told us they helped and encouraged people to retain their independence and provided care and support in line with their agreed care plan.

During a routine inspection

We spoke with three people who used the service or their representative. They all told us how they had been involved in the development of their care package and felt fully involved in the process. They all told us they were happy with the care they received. One person told us "The staff always treat us with dignity and respect" and another "the staff are absolutely brilliant we are really happy with the care."

They also told us they found all the staff competent and caring. One person we spoke with told us all the staff were aware of how to use the special equipment they had in their home. They also told us the number of staff who attended was always as they had agreed to in the plan.

One person told us "there is always someone who knows what we need and we look forward to seeing them." Another told us they would prefer to have the same person but appreciated this could not always happen and all the staff were very good.

One of the representatives told us "they don't let you down, even when the weather was bad they came to support us."

The people who used the service we spoke with all told us they would contact the Registered Manager if they had any concerns and were confident there concerns or complaint would be taken seriously and dealt with appropriately.

During a routine inspection

People spoken with told us that they were very happy with the care and support provided by the agency and that staff were reliable, considerate and caring.

They also told us that staff have a flexible approach to providing care and support, are professional and always appeared well trained and competent.
