People who live at The Holt Retirement Home said that the staff were polite and always called them by their preferred name. Three people were spoken to. One said 'They are nice lads but when I need help with a bath I have a female carer'. And 'I'm not sure about a care plan but the staff help me when I need them to' Another person said 'the staff are nice and they always knock on your door before coming in' Someone else said 'the staff help me when I need it.

People said that the food was alright. Three people were talked to. One person said 'the food is nice and I enjoy the cooked breakfasts'. Another said 'there is always a choice but I don't always remember what I have requested, but the staff are very helpful' and 'they bring pictures of what is for lunch so I can easily choose'

People told us they felt safe in the care of the staff.
