During an inspection looking at part of the service
We found people's care records were consistent and there was an accurate record of their care needs.
We found people's care records were consistent and there was an accurate record of their care needs.
We spoke with two health professionals who regularly visited the service who told us that they felt that people received a good standard of care.
We found that people's consent to care and treatment was sought and documented and that the service ensured that they shared relevant information with other providers to protect people's health and welfare. We found that people received a good standard of care.
We had concerns that although staff were able to tell us about people's care needs people's care records continued to be inaccurate and not reflect their current needs.
People who were visiting their relatives who used the service told us "they're very good" and "she's very happy here". A professional who visited the service on a regular basis said "the people who I see here never want to leave". Staff who worked at the service told us, "the people that live here are just like one big family" and "I love working here, people aren't just a number"
However, we found that the information held by the service about people, did not accurately meet their needs and was not always consistent or up to date.
