During a routine inspection
Two people were accommodated at the home on the day of inspection and the provider told us that they planned to reduce the occupancy of the home in the coming weeks.
People were treated with dignity and respect and their privacy was maintained. One person told us, 'As a rule they always knock on the door before entering. I have enough privacy.'
People's needs were assessed and care was planned and delivered to meet these needs. One person told us, 'They help me get up in the morning and get dressed.' People's medicines were managed safely. One person told us, 'They always give me the right tablets at the right time.'
Three staff provided support and care to people living at the home. One person told us, 'It's family run, they are quite skilled.' The other person said, 'The staff are all very nice, I can't fault them.' We saw that staff had undertaken a variety of appropriate training, however this was not always updated.
The provider told us that there was ongoing monitoring of the service by them as they directly supported people living in the home. We spoke to the two people accommodated at the home. One person told us, 'There is nothing they could improve on.'
