We spoke with relatives of the people who use the service and they said:
My relative has been here six months. It was a joint decision with the family about moving in. We were guided by recommendations from family and friends. This place is homely and has a good feel. The staff are wonderful, friendly and helpful. We had the option of 2 rooms and we have been able to bring personal items from home. We have no complaints and the staff are approachable. The manager and deputy are good about keeping in touch and we liked the relatives meetings.
Prior to settling here we visited lots of homes in the area. Chose this as its one of the best and close to the family. Had a good first impression of the home when visited. We were very impressed with the manager and deputy. They discuss any issues with you and give you a level of confidence in them and the home.
We spoke with staff and they commented:
The registered manager is brilliant. We have good training and I have undertaken NVQ level 2 and 3. We have formal supervision every six months. Staff are good and I enjoy my job.
This is a nice home and we are able to give proper care as it is not too large. The manager is lovely and will listen to any problems you may have. The staff team are very good.
I have worked here 7 years. The staff get on well together and I love working here. The manager is a good boss.
I love my job. I feel it is important to keep family contacts when a person moves into the home. Especially with families who live out of the area. We have a computer and a webcam so that residents can talk and see their relatives, some of whom live all over the world. There are in house activities each afternoon and once a month entertainers come into the home. There is a good range of activities provided, with some external activities during the better weather.

We have no complaints. The standard of care is excellent. The manager and deputy are very helpful and understanding.
