Other evidence

Prior to our visit we received concerns regarding some hygiene practices and the cleanliness of the home.

On the day of our visit the proprietor arranged for several carpets around the building to be professionally cleaned.

We saw that the kitchen was in need of cleaning and an area of wall tiles needed attention.

A visit was made to the service by an infection control specialist nurse on 12 January 2012. Following their visit a number of improvement recommendations were made to minimise the risk of infection throughout the building.
