We reviewed all the information we hold about this provider, carried out a visit on 07/02/2012, observed how people were being cared for, looked at records of people who use services, talked to staff and talked to people who use services.

Our judgement

People who live at Southmoor Lodge benefited from the knowledge that the Care Quality Commission was informed of the services being provided.

User experience

None of the people we spoke with were able to give us any insight or views about the statement of purpose for the home.

Other evidence

We saw the statement of purpose for Southmoor Lodge. This document had been recently updated, and a copy had been sent to the Care Quality Commission in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act (2008).

The statement of purpose was compliant with the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act (2008).
