Focus on people who have a learning disability and autistic people

We want more people with a learning disability and autistic people to share care experiences with us. You can use the materials in this toolkit to help you support our campaign.

Why it’s important to give feedback

People with a learning disability and autistic people are more likely to experience poorer care and face inequalities, despite needing to use health services regularly. Their needs are not always met by the system, leaving people and their loved ones feeling diminished or ignored.

How long does the campaign run?

Our 4-week focus starts on 11 April 2023. The campaign is a partnership between CQC and Healthwatch. Other partners supporting the campaign include Mencap, Disability Rights UK and the National Autistic Society.

How can you get involved?

You can support the campaign in the following ways:

  • sharing our ambassadors' stories, you could also share your own
  • sharing campaign messaging and assets on social media
  • retweeting or resharing content from CQC and other partners social channels
  • contributing case study stories
  • supporting the campaign on your website (for example campaign landing page or blogs)
  • use campaign materials to develop your own content and to collect feedback about care for your organisation
  • highlighting the campaign in other communications (for example newsletters)

Would you like to share your story?

If you've got a story about how feedback has helped bring about a positive outcome for a patient, we'd love you to share it. Use #BecauseWeAllCare to tag in our campaign.
