Care Quality Commission publishes report on Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has published a report following an inspection at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.   

Inspectors visited core services at the the trust between 14 January and 12 February 2020 including; surgery, critical care, services for children and young people and end of life care.

Care Quality Commission welcomes improvements at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has rated Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as Good overall, following an inspection.

CQC inspected the trust between 13 and 15 January 2020, finding significant improvements. The trust was previously rated Requires Improvement, following a 2018 inspection.

In addition to being rated Good overall, inspectors rated the trust Good for four of the five key questions CQC asks: ‘is it effective, caring, responsive and well-led?’. The trust is rated Requires Improvement for the key question ‘is it safe?’.

CQC calls for urgent improvements to emergency care at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has told United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust that services provided by the emergency departments at Pilgrim Hospital and Lincoln County Hospital must improve.

Prompted by patient safety concerns, CQC undertook focused inspections of the emergency departments at both hospitals on 6 and 7 January 2020.

Care Quality Commission publishes two reports on Outstanding rated adult social care services in Derbyshire

The Care Quality Commission has found the quality of care provided by two adult social care services in Derbyshire to be Outstanding.

Under CQC’s programme of inspections, all England’s adult social care services are given a rating according to whether they are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

These services were found to be providing an exemplary service to people in their care when CQC inspected.

The reports detailing inspectors’ findings have now been published and are available on CQC’s website.

Care Quality Commission publishes two reports on Outstanding rated adult social care services across East Midlands

The Care Quality Commission has found the quality of care provided by two adult social care services in East Midlands to be Outstanding.

Under CQC’s programme of inspections, all England’s adult social care services are given a rating according to whether they are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. 

These services were found to be providing an exemplary service to people in their care when CQC inspected.

Care Quality Commission to publish report on Rampton Hospital

A Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection report on Rampton Hospital, part of Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, is due to be published tomorrow, Friday, 24 January 2020. 

CQC carried out a focused inspection at the hospital on 13 and 14 November 2019. This inspection was carried out to check if improvements had been made since CQC’s visit in July 2019 when inspectors rated the service as Inadequate.

This inspection was not rated and does not change the overall rating.

Northamptonshire care service rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission

A specialist care service in Corby, Northamptonshire, has been rated Outstanding following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

CQC inspected Holland House in October and November 2019. The service specialises in supporting adults with a range of complex needs and behaviours associated with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and learning disabilities.

Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust maintains its Outstanding rating following Care Quality Commission inspection

A Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection report on Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is due to be published today (Tuesday, 17 December).

CQC carried out an inspection at the trust in September and October 2019 and, as a result, the trust has maintained its overall rating of Outstanding.

It is also rated as Good for whether its services are safe, effective and responsive and Outstanding for whether its services are caring and well-led.
