Dr Malte Gerhold
Malte joined CQC in 2013 and became Director of Strategy and Intelligence in 2017. He was responsible for setting out CQC’s five-year strategy through to 2021.
Malte started his career as a strategy consultant, before working as an advisor at the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit, from where he was appointed Deputy Director of the Strategy Unit at the Department of Health.
Before joining CQC he lived and worked in Sierra Leone for just under three years, leading a team advising the president on the implementation of the government’s priorities in health care, energy, agriculture and investment.
Malte has a BSc from the London School of Economics and a PhD from Oxford University.
